Choosing a Sustainable Cloud Provider
When selecting a cloud provider for WrkLst, we sought a solution that was highly flexible, ultra-fast, and committed to renewable energy. Unfortunately, transparency in the cloud industry regarding environmental impact is still limited.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), the largest cloud provider, has been repeatedly criticized for its lack of transparency and limited use of renewable energy. According to past Greenpeace reports, AWS used only 17% renewable energy in 2016 and received an overall environmental rating of C.
By contrast, Google Cloud—our chosen provider—was ranked among the greenest infrastructure providers, earning an A grade from Greenpeace. Google has been a leader in sustainability, operating one of the cleanest cloud infrastructures available.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
• 100% Renewable Energy-Powered Hosting: Google Cloud has been carbon-neutral since 2007 and aims to run entirely on carbon-free energy by 2030.
• Energy-Efficient Data Centers: Google’s data centers are among the most energy-efficient in the world, consuming 50% less energy than typical data centers.
• Continuous Optimization: We regularly assess and improve our infrastructure to minimize our energy footprint.
At WrkLst, we are committed to providing a high-performance and eco-friendly service, ensuring that security, speed, and sustainability go hand in hand.
