## What an edition is in WrkLst

An editioned work is managed as one record that carries its individual numbers and artist's proofs, rather than as a pile of near-identical entries. That keeps the inventory readable: you see the work, and within it you see which numbers exist and what has happened to each.

## Why it matters for pricing

Managed editions count as a single record for subscription purposes. An edition of five plus two artist's proofs is one record, not seven — see [Subscription](/hc/wrklst-docs/articles/1767343691-subscription).
