The WrkLst Biographies. Every artist's CV in one place: change a line once, and it's right everywhere, in your documents and on your website.

Open Biographies in the sidebar. Every artist with a CV has a card, and Search artists finds one by name. For someone new, Start a biography lists the artists who don't have one yet.

At the top sits the Short paragraph bio: a few sentences for shared documents and your website. Write it, save it, and a website connected to WrkLst picks up the change.

The CV itself is made of categories, such as Solo exhibitions, Education or Press. Add an existing one, or create a New category with a public name, an internal name and its type.

Inside a category, Add a line: the year, until when if it runs on, and the text. Link it to a web page, to the exhibition in WrkLst, or to a document from your Media Library.

Have the CV as text already? Paste many lines takes it all at once. Each year starts a block, and every line below it becomes one entry. You see how many lines it will add before you confirm.

You decide line by line what goes public. A published line appears in shared documents and on your website; an unpublished one stays inside WrkLst. Show in news also puts it in the news block of a connected website.

Drag categories and lines into the order you want, or move them with the arrow keys. A long CV? One button expands all categories, and collapses them again.

A line linked to an exhibition opens it with one click, and the exhibition lists every biography line that refers to it. The artist's contact record leads straight to the Biography too.

Share turns the CV into a document from your own templates, and only published lines go out. A website connected through the WordPress plugin gets every change by itself. A WrkLst website shows the short bio.

Five habits make it work. Write a short bio for every artist. Link each show to its WrkLst exhibition. Publish only what's ready. Make a new category rather than renaming a shared one. And keep one CV, not copies.

That's Biographies in WrkLst. You'll find them under Biographies in the sidebar, and on the contact record of every artist who has one. More in the help centre.
