Consignments

Consignments in WrkLst. Whether you send works out or take them in, you see who has them, on what terms, and until when.

Your consignments appear as cards. Each shows which way the works move — out, in, between your own spaces, or between two other parties. One click switches to a table.

Looking for one consignment? Type into the search. WrkLst looks at both parties, your terms and the external reference, so a partner's name or their own number finds it.

Open the filter to narrow the list. Choose a direction, say everything going out, and a loan period — current, upcoming or past. Archived consignments stay hidden until you include them.

Click a card and the consignment opens beside the list. At the top, who consigned to whom and for how long. Below, every work with its price, commission and extra costs, then documents, exhibitions and sales.

Put the works in your basket and choose Consign. The new consignment opens with those works already in it. Pick both parties and take their addresses from your contacts. Or start from scratch with Add consignment.

To change it, click the pencil. Take the terms from a template and switch on Financial — the prices are already there. Set one commission for all works, then fine-tune single works and add costs like a frame.

When a consigned work sells, start the sale from the consignment. Tick the works and say who sold them — you, an outside seller or another gallery — then pick the buyer and how to bill.

Never miss an end date. The Calendar shows what begins, ends and runs each month. Switch on reminders, and WrkLst tells you a week before a consignment ends, and on the day.

Need the paperwork? Open the share menu and pick one of your templates — the consignment agreement, say, or a checklist. WrkLst fills it in on your letterhead, as PDF or Word, and it downloads by itself.

Five habits make it work. Give each consignment its end date. Switch on reminders. Keep price and commission on every work. Attach the signed agreement. And sell from the consignment, so the terms carry over.
