Collection Values in WrkLst, or C-Values for short. See what your collection cost, what it's estimated at, and what it's insured for.
Open C-Values in the sidebar. Each row is one work, with what you paid for it, what it's estimated at, and what it's insured for. Every amount keeps its own currency, and a dash means nothing is entered yet.
Above the rows sits the total for every work that matches, not just this page. Other currencies are converted into your default currency at the latest rate. And the total stays in place as you scroll.
Looking for something? Type an artist, a title or an inventory number. Every word narrows the sheet, and the total follows. Type Mary Painter, and you see what her works add up to.
Estimated and insured stand side by side, for each work and in the totals. So you see at once which works are insured for too little, or too much. At the top of the filter, choose all works or a single inventory.
For a stocktake, use the works filter you know. Choose a location, such as your storage, and you see every work kept there with its values. The total tells you what that room holds. Exhibitions and consignments work the same way.
A value missing, or the insurance needs correcting? Click Edit values, the pencil on its row. The work's form opens at its insurance values, with the acquisition price just below. Save, and you're back where you left off, total updated.
Values change over the years. For the annual review, choose Add insurance value instead of overwriting the old one. Enter the new figures and note the source. The sheet shows the latest valuation, and earlier ones stay with the work.
Your insurer wants a list? Share selection turns what your filter shows into a document from one of your templates. Pick Excel, and the schedule is ready to send. WrkLst makes it for you, and it downloads by itself.
Not everyone should see these figures. Under User Roles, an admin decides which roles may open C-Values. Without the right to read and edit values, the sheet shows only dashes.
Five habits make it work. Review the values once a year. Add new valuations, don't overwrite. Note the source of every valuation. Check estimated against insured. And keep the figures to the roles that need them.
That's Collection Values in WrkLst. Once your role includes it, you'll find it under C-Values, in the sidebar.
