The document designer, in WrkLst. Lay out a catalogue, tear sheets or an artist's CV once, and make it a PDF for every exhibition, filled with your own data.

Open the document designer and choose New design. First, what it's based on, for example an exhibition. Then a starting point, such as the exhibition booklet, and a name. The editor opens, already filled with one of your exhibitions.

On the left, your pages, and under each one how it pages. The open page is in the middle, its settings on the right. Getting started walks you through the rest, step by step.

A text can hold fields. Click Exhibition title, and it's filled from the exhibition, here and in every PDF you make later. Venue and dates work the same way.

Text styles keep the look together. A headline, body text and captions, each with its font and size. Change the headline style, and every headline follows. Pick from twenty fonts, or upload your own.

Pictures and logos sit wherever you put them. Upload your logo as an SVG, and it stays sharp at any size. Drag a corner, and the proportions hold. Double-click a picture to choose what shows.

A repeating page makes one tear sheet for every work in the show. Each page lists its elements, in the order they lie. Move one forward, hide it, or lock it in place.

Add more data when the document needs it. Choose the artist biography, for each artist of the exhibition. A text flow then runs their CV over as many pages as it needs.

Attach a PDF between your pages, such as a condition report. Keep the same file every time, choose one each time, or let WrkLst make it from a template for each run.

When one exhibition needs its own touch, switch to Adjust. Put its works in a new order, leave one out, or crop a picture differently. Save it for this exhibition, and the design stays the same for every other.

Make PDF creates the document in the background. Downloads shows its progress and hands it to you. Under Use, add the design to the exhibitions' share menu, for everyone or only you.

Five habits that pay off. Start from a ready-made design. Set up your text styles first. Upload your logo as an SVG. Let repeating pages do the tear sheets. And offer the finished design in the share menu.

That's the document designer, in WrkLst. You'll find it in the sidebar, and every step in the help centre.
